The shoes have a stunning sleek design. Perfect for both formal and concert's outfits.
QALITV was excited for this purchase and hoped these leather shoes would be a long-term investment, which led to the purchase of 2 pairs of Bianca Smooth Chelsea.
2 / Test outcome:
During 3 months of wearing shoes to the office, the leather started cracking and peeling off. The Dr Martens Wonder Balm had been used from day one and after each use of the shoes. The look of the shoes was extremely compromised, making them not suitable for professional settings.
After wearing them so little, the leather was broken, creating creases that would result in holes in the shoes shortly. This would entirely dismiss the shoe's waterproofing.
The shoes do not meet standards for footwear.
Dr Martens Bianca Smooth Chelsea shoes are made to be displayed, not to be worn.
QALITV considers the shoes to be not fit for purpose.

QALITV requested the manufacturer's statement regarding the quality of the leather used for these shoes and its fitness for purpose.
Dr Martens: 'Creasing, on the uppers as a result of wear, is largely unpreventable as this is where the foot naturally bends and creates pressure on the leather.
However, we would recommend using a moisturising product, such as our Wonder Balsam, to nourish and care for the leather.'
QALITV does not find this response acceptable. Leather shoes tend to be worn for 10+ years and although leather in fact may crease, it should not break, creating holes.
Additionally, Dr Martens Wonder Balm was always used for the maintenance of the shoes and had no preventing impact on the leather breaking.
